Who doesn’t love chat and esp. Pani puri. I think there are hardly few people out there who doesn’t enjoy pani puri. I am huge fan of chats and pani puri is my all time favourite. Taste of pani puri lies in pani, get this perfect and your in for a amazing treat.
Let me share with you all my simple and quick recipe on how to make pani. This takes less than 10 minutes to put it together.
Ingredients: serving 3 – 4 people
1. Garlic cloves – 20 no’s
2. Green chill – 4 to 5 no’s
3. Ginger – 1/4 inch piece
4. Mint – 5 – 6 leaves
5. Cilantro – a few leaves
6. Black salt – 1/4 tea spoon
7. Table salt for taste
8. Lime juice – 1/2 table spoon
Step 1 : Peel the garlic and ginger, wash them along with mint, green chilly and cilantro leaves. Dry them well.
Step 2: Add the washed ingredients along with two types of salt and lime juice to a blender and grind it into a smooth paste.
Tip : since two types of salt are used in recipe, ensure you add them in small quantities.
Step 3 : Mix the ground paste to 10 – 12 glass of water. Keep this aside, after 10 minutes, strain it to a different bowl, taste and adjust salt at this stage. Refrigerate the pani for an hour before use.
There you go, your pani is ready to enjoy. This pani tastes better with boiled green peas or potato filling. Those who are onions lovers can add that too.
